12-Day Cairo, Nile Cruise and Red Sea Stay

Day 1: Your Vacation of a Lifetime begins

Experience a level of service almost unheard of in the modern world. No matter what time you arrive in this fascinating country, we will be waiting to meet and greet you at the airport in Cairo. We will assist you with your luggage, and drive you in cool and comfortable style to the excellent hotel where you will be staying for your first two nights in the country.

Once we have assisted you with check-in, we will quickly go over your Cairo, Nile cruise and Red Sea Stay itinerary and also confirm pickup times for the days that follow. Then you can enjoy the remainder of the day as you wish. Stay at your hotel; go out for a meal, or head out and explore this vibrant city.

Day 2: Exploring the Pyramids & Sakkara

Begin your day with a wholesome Egyptian breakfast before your personal guide accompanies you to the Giza Plateau. Here, you’ll start by admiring one of the Seven Wonders of the World, the Great Pyramids of Giza. Wander around the Plateau to visit the renowned Sphinx and Valley Temple.

Following your exploration of the Pyramids, enjoy lunch at a local Egyptian restaurant before heading to the Sakkara district. There, you’ll explore the Sakkara Complex and see the first pyramid ever built, the impressive Djoser Pyramid.

Finally, after a busy day of sightseeing, you will be returned to your hotel for the evening.

Day 3: Touring the GEM & Egyptian Museum / Fly to Aswan

Day 3 of your Cairo, Nile Cruise and Red Sea Stay Holiday. Check out of hotel after breakfast, and then go with your personal guide to visit the New Grand Egyptian Museum, also known as the Giza Museum, an archaeological gem located approximately 2 kilometers (1.2 miles) from the Giza Pyramid complex. Currently, the GEM Complex provides limited access as part of its final preparations, allowing visitors to explore the Main Galleries, Grand Hall, Grand Staircase, commercial areas, and surrounding gardens.

Following your GEM visit, enjoy lunch at an authentic Egyptian restaurant, then head to the Egyptian Museum in Downtown Cairo, near the historic Tahrir Square. Here, you’ll discover an incredible collection of ancient Egyptian artifacts and treasures.

After your visits, you will be transferred to Cairo airport for your flight to Aswan. Meet & assist, and transfer to your hotel.

Day 4: Free Day in Aswan (Abu Simbel)

After arriving in Aswan, our company representative will escort you to the hotel where you will be staying. There are no tours planned for this day, but there are optional tours available, such as visiting the Abu Simbel Temples, originally carved out of the mountains in the 13th century BC.

Day 5: Sightseeing in Aswan

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel, and then check out of the hotel. Our tour representative will then drive you to board your 5-Star Nile cruise ship. After enjoying lunch on the ship, the rest of the day will be spent visiting the Philae temple (devoted to goddesses Isis and Hathor, and the ancient stone quarry where the largest known Obelisk, the infamous Unfinished Obelisk, is located.

Return to the Ship where a lovely dinner will be served, and then spend the first night of your cruise on board your cruise ship on the Nile at Aswan.

Day 6: Temples of Kom Ombo and Edfu

On day 6 of your Nile cruise and Red Sea stay you will have breakfast aboard the MS Salacia while you cruise to Kom Ombo. On arrival, you will visit the Temple of Sobek and Haerosis in Kom Ombo.

Afterwards, enjoy a liesurely cruise to Edfu, with lunch on board. Visit the well preserved cult temple, Horus Temple in Edfu, and have afternoon tea while you cruise to Esna.

Dinner will be served on board and you will spend the night aboard the ship on the Nile at Esna.

Day 7: Luxor West Bank Sightseeing

Today, the MS Salacia will depart from Esna quite early and it will cruise to Luxor while you are enjoying breakfast on board the ship. On arrival, visit the West bank, with an excursion to Valley of the Kings, the Royal Cemetery, and the Mortuary Temple of Queen Haatshepsut.

This was built during the 15th century BC by the architects of the New Kingdom. The West Bank attractions will very likely be one of the highlights of your 5-Star cruise. Enjoy the final night of your cruise on the quiet waters of the Nile at Luxor.

Day 8: Luxor East Bank Sightseeing

On day 8 of your Nile cruise and Red Sea stay enjoy breakfast on board and then it will be time for you to disembark from the cruise ship. You will then be taken to visit the impressive Karnak Temple and majestic Luxor Temple.

Later in the afternoon you will transfer to Hurghada on the Red Sea coast, where you will check-in at the 5-Star hotel where you will be staying during your time in Hurghada. Luxor to Hurghada is approximately a 3.5 hour drive.

Days 9 & 10: Leisure Time in Hurghada (Optional Tours)

Since these two days are all about quality relaxation time, there are no activities scheduled.

However, there are a number of optional tours available if you wish to experience scuba diving in Hurghada and snorkeling among the Red Sea coral reefs, with the opportunity to see rare fish. There are also other activities available, such as windsurfing, sailing or deep sea fishing.

Day 11: Back to Cairo / Free Day

After breakfast in the hotel, enjoy some free time before we drive you to the airport for your flight back to Cairo.

On arrival in Cairo you will be met and taken to check in at a 5-Star Hotel. There are no tours planned for this day, but there are optional tours available.

You will spend the last night of your Nile Cruise and Red Sea Stay vacation in Cairo.

Day 12: Final Departure

Final day of your Nile cruise and Red Sea stay. You’ve explored the ancient wonders of Cairo; you’ve enjoyed a cruise on the Nile in style, and you’ve soaked up the sun at Hurghada. You will no doubt have had a wonderful time, but now the time has come for you to say goodbye.

After you have had breakfast and you have checked out of your hotel, we will drive you in style to the airport for your flight home. We will be there to assist you with luggage and check-in, and then we will thank you once more and bid you farewell.
