10-Day Round Trip Nile Cruise and Cairo Tour

Day 1: Arrive Nile Cruise and Cairo Tour

Vacations are all about rewarding yourself with a travel experience which should be perfect in every possible way, and that is exactly what this Nile Cruise and Cairo Package is all about. You really have nothing to worry about, because every little detail has been expertly taken care of. After all, this tour is brought to you by a company with several decades worth of experience. Your VIP treatment is just about to begin.

Arriving at Cairo International Airport for your Nile Cruise and Cairo tour couldn’t be any easier because your assigned tour manager will be right there waiting for you when you arrive. You will be assisted in every way possible, and then you will be driven in style to the hotel where you will be staying for the next two nights.

At the hotel, you will be assisted with check-in, a pick-up time will be confirmed with you for the next day’s tour and then we will leave you alone to enjoy the remainder of your first day as you wish

Day 2: Pyramids and the GEM

After a wholesome breakfast at your hotel, your personal guide will take you to the Giza Plateau, where you’ll begin your day by admiring one of the Seven Wonders of the World—the Great Pyramids of Giza. You’ll also have the opportunity to visit the iconic Sphinx and Valley Temple.

Once your tour of the pyramids is complete, you’ll enjoy lunch at a traditional Egyptian restaurant before continuing to the New Grand Egyptian Museum, also referred to as the Giza Museum. This archaeological museum, located about 2 kilometers (1.2 miles) from the Giza pyramid complex, is currently offering limited access to selected areas as part of a preview experience ahead of its official opening. Accessible sections include the Main Galleries, Grand Hall, Grand Staircase, commercial area, and outdoor gardens.

Afterward, you will be taken back to your hotel where you will be spending the night.

Day 3: Flight to Luxor and Nile Cruise Embarkation

Enjoy a 5-Star breakfast and then check-out from your hotel. You will then be collected and taken to Cairo International Airport for your flight to Luxor.

On arrival in Luxor you will be met and taken to board your 5-Star Nile River cruise. After lunch on board the boat, you will have the rest of the afternoon free to enjoy yourself as you wish while the cruise ship sails to Esna.

A bit later in the day, afternoon tea will be served, and shortly after that you will be a short Captain’s Welcome Cocktail Party. In the early evening a delicious dinner will be served, and then the evening is all yours. Tonight you will be sleeping on the water at Esna.

Day 4: Cruise to Edfu and Kom Ombo with Edfu Excursion and Onboard Entertainment

The 4th day of your Nile Cruise and Cairo package will see you enjoying your breakfast on the river while you are sailing to Edfu.

On arrival at Edfu, you will disembark and you’ll enjoy a visit to a beautifully preserved Ptolemaic Temple of Edfu dedicated to Horus. This temple was buried under the sand for more than 2,000 years, and as a result, it is today the best-preserved ancient temple in Egypt. After visiting this remarkable site you will return to the ship and sail to Kom Ombo.

Lunch will once again be served on the river during your cruise to Kom Ombo, and then you will have the remainder of the afternoon for yourself. Afternoon tea will be served later in the day, followed by another fine dinner in the early evening. There will also be an Egyptian Galabya party on board the vessel this evening, and you will spend the night on the water at Kom Ombo.

Day 5: Cruise to Aswan, Aswan Tour, and Onboard Entertainment

Day 5 of your Nile Cruise and Cairo Package gets off to an early start today when you cruise begins sailing towards Aswan.

Enjoy a good onboard breakfast, and then shortly after that, you will arrive in Aswan and you will be taken to see the spectacular Unfinished Obelisk, and also the indescribable ancient Temple of Philae. After your tour is over, you’ll head back to the boat where you will be served another wonderful lunch.

There are no other tours scheduled for this day, so after lunch you will be free to enjoy the remainder of the day as you wish.

Tonight there will be an authentic Egyptian Belly Dancing Show on board the vessel, and also a very entertaining Egyptian folkloric show. This night of your Nile Cruise and Cairo stay holiday will be spent on the water at Aswan.

Day 6: Optional Abu Simbel Tour and Free Afternoon in Aswan

The 6th day of your Nile Cruise and Cairo Package includes an optional excursion to visit the magnificent Abu Simbel Temples. Because this involves a three-hour drive either way, it is optional, and is therefore not included in the price of this tour package. We do however highly recommend this tour for anyone who is happy to make the journey.

Those who choose not to visit these two giant rock-cut temples will the entire day to themselves to enjoy as they wish. As usual, breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner will be served on board the ship. There will also be a very entertaining Nubian folkloric show in the evening, and this will once again be spent on the water at Aswan.

Day 7: Cruise to Esna via Kom Ombo with Kom Ombo Excursion

Today your ship will once again get off to an early start, with breakfast being served on the river while sailing to Kom Ombo.

On arrival at Kom Ombo, you will disembark, and you will be taken to see the Temple of Kom Ombo, dedicated to Sobek, the crocodile god, and Horus, the falcon-headed god. After spending some time at this remarkable ancient temple complex, you will return to the ship, and it will sail to Esna via Edfu with lunch being served along the way.

Enjoy plenty of leisure time, followed by another fine dinner in the evening, and a good night’s sleep on the tranquil waters at Esna.

Day 8: Cruise to Luxor with West Bank Monuments Tour

Today your Nile Cruise and Cairo Package once again gets off to an early start, with breakfast being served on the river while sailing to Luxor. On arrival at Luxor, you will be disembarking, this time for a fantastic tour of the Luxor West Bank’s best ancient monuments.

During this tour, you will visit the Valley of the Kings, an ancient necropolis where more than 60 royal tombs have been discovered, including the tomb of Ramses VI and the tomb of King Tutankhamen.

Next will be another fascinating visit, this time to the magnificent rock-cut Temple of Queen Hatshepsut. Finally, you will enjoy a brief visit to the Colossi of Memnon, and then you will make your way back to the cruise ship in time for your lunch.

The remainder of the day is yours to enjoy as you wish. Afternoon tea and dinner will of course be served at the usual times, and you will spend the last night of your unforgettable Nile cruise on the water at Luxor.

Day 9: Luxor East Bank Tour, Cruise Disembarkation, and Flight to Cairo

Wake up to another splendid onboard breakfast, and then you will disembark for a short trip to Luxor’s East Bank where you will visit the ruins of the ancient Karnak Temple complex. This sprawling complex took more than 2000 years to complete. Next, you will visit the equally impressive Luxor Temple which is surprisingly well-preserved.

Today you will be having your lunch at a good restaurant in Luxor, and then at the appropriate time, you will be transferred to Luxor airport where you will be boarding your flight back to Cairo.

On arrival at the airport in Cairo, your tour manager will once again meet you, and then escort you to the hotel where you will be staying for the last night of your Nile Cruise and Cairo Package.

Day 10: Nile Cruise and Cairo Tour Ends and Final Departure

Sadly, your magnificent Nile Cruise and Cairo package has now come to an end, and it will soon be time for you to board your flight back home. However, first enjoy one last breakfast in Egypt, and don’t worry about a thing because your tour manager will meet you at the appropriate time to make sure you get to the airport in time for you flight back home.

Your vacation may have come to an end, but you will be leaving Egypt with memories that will live with you forever.
