When you land at the airport, you will once again be met, and then you will be taken to board your 5-star Nile cruise

Have a good lunch aboard the boat, and then your Expert guide will take you to see two famous sites. First you will visit the amazing Temple of Philae. This ancient temple would have been lost to the waters of Lake Nasser if it had not been moved to higher ground when the High Dam was being built. Spend some time exploring the temple, and then you will visit the Unfinished Obelisk. This would have been the biggest obelisk ever made but the project was abandoned when cracks started appearing.

Day 4: Abu Simbel Temples and Kom Ombo Temple

Today you will leave for the Abu Simbel Temples very early, so instead of having breakfast on board your cruise, you will be issued with a breakfast box to eat along the way. The drive from Aswan to the Abu Simbel temples takes approximately 4 hours, but it really worth the drive.

The ancient Abu Simbel Temples are huge rock-cut temples that were constructed during the reign of Pharaoh Ramses II. In addition to them serving as temples, they were also intended to serve as lasting monuments to the pharaoh and his wife, Queen Nefertari. No amount of words can describe this truly magnificent site.

After your tour of the temples, you will be driven back to the cruise ship, and then it will depart for Kom Ombo. On arrival, you will enjoy another excursion, this time to see Kom Ombo Temple. This ancient temple essentially consists of two identical halves because it was dedicated to two different gods. One half was dedicated to Sobek, while the other half was dedicated to Horus.

Have lunch back on board the boat while you are sailing to Edfu, and enjoy the afternoon as you wish. Dinner is served at the usual time, and this night of your 7-day Cairo and Nile cruise holidays is spent on the Nile at Edfu.
