12-Hour Luxor Day Trip from Cairo by Air

Your Luxor Day Trip from Cairo gets off to an early start, with one of our tour representatives picking you up at 04h00 so that we can get you to the airport in Cairo in time for your short flight to Luxor.

On arrival at Luxor, you will be met and assisted at the airport, and then your tour will begin with a visit to Karnak Temple. This vast complex grew over a period of around 2,000, eventually covering an area of about 5,000 square meters. Dedicated to the God Amon, his wife Mut and their son Khonsu, Karnak is today considered to be the world’s best example of worship in human history.

After Karnak, your Luxor Day Trip from Cairo will see you visiting Valley of the Kings, an ancient royal necropolis which is home to more than 60 tombs, including the tomb of King Tutankhamen. This tomb was still sealed when it was discovered, and a significant number of artifacts were recovered, all of which are now on display at the Egyptian Museum in Cairo.

Next, you will be taken for lunch at a good local restaurant, and then you will pay a visit to the mesmerizing mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut. This will be the last stop of your Luxor Day Trip from Cairo, and by the time you are finished at this site, it will be about 16h00.

Because your flight back to Cairo only departs at 22h00, we will book a hotel for you so that you can relax. Alternatively, if you would like to use the remaining time for other activities, our tour representative will be happy to make the necessary arrangements on your behalf, although any additional activities will incur and extra fee.

When you land in Cairo, we will again have one of our representatives stating by to meet and assist, and to escort you back to your hotel in Cairo.
